Tips on making a good fundraising ask:
Share your personal story. The more you center your experience the more your friends and family are going to be compelled to pitch in. They care about you and the things you care about!
Make a clear, specific ask. “Can I count on you to make a $10 donation?” is preferred over “Will you consider donating?”
Have a deadline. Time is a great motivator, this fundraiser ends on December 31.
Thank the people who have donated! It goes a long way to share your appreciation. Thank people over social media and create a chain reaction of others wanting to join in on giving.
