FAQ
Who can register?
New and returning players are welcome - experienced players and newbies alike! You must be 18+ years old. While everyone is welcome in this league, we strive to center queer/trans/non-binary players. We ask that all players be mindful of the space they occupy and any privileges that accompany their identities.
When will registration close?
When all spots are filled… which happens FAST!
When will I get placed on a team?
If you registered as an individual, you will be assigned to a team once registration has closed. The goal is to have everyone assigned to a team no later than August 29th.
Can I join my friend’s team?
Maybe? We really can’t guarantee this but will try to accommodate team preferences. Our main priority is having balanced teams! There’s a comment field in the registration form to note your preferences.
How else can I get involved?
If you didn’t get to/can’t register as a full-time player this season, you can still get involved and join our community!
Sign up to be a substitute player (and join the 2025 Subs Signal chat group afterwards). Every week, teams put out requests for sub players to join them for a single game. Registering as a Sub is a great option if you can’t commit to a full season, and it’s entirely free! You can sub as much or as little as you’d like.
Come to league practices every other Tuesday, starting Sept 2nd at Clinton City Park in Southeast Portland. All are welcome! Practices start at 6:30 pm until it gets dark earlier, then we will notify you and start at 6 pm!
Volunteer with us! Please email info@lavenderleaguepdx.org to get in touch. We always could use more help setting up and taking down the fields for game days, loading and unloading equipment on game days, leading practices, planning and coordinating events and more.
Donate if you can! If you can’t, please help us spread the word about Lavender League. We are a non-profit that relies on donations and grants to fund our league. If you have partnership and non-monetary donation opportunities, please reach out. We’d love to hear about them! (i.e. prize & food donations for league events, lending equipment, etc.)

We hope you will join us this Spring, whether it be subbing, playing full-time, volunteering, cheerleading, or just supporting this amazing community-driven queer soccer league. See you there! <3
